It is safe to assume travel is a popular hobby or even an actual job
for many people. Travelling promotes a lot of things like; exploring new unseen
places, exploring various cultures, embracing history, stress reliever etc.
However, this statement holds true for a child and probably even at higher
levels. The mental, physical, emotional, spiritual development in a child is
paramount to paint the picture of strong adulthood, which can be attained from
travel.
But considering all this, let us see how does any travel and tourism activities for students benefit the development
process.
- Visual understanding
Wouldn’t anybody rather have visual
demonstrations than theoretical one? When students experience things physically
they get to cultivate a different perspective towards it, which improves
understanding of the subject.
- Monotonous routine
When you follow a tiring routine day in and
day out, it can burn out the kid very fast leaving no space for leaning. An
excursion will divert away from the monotony and provide the student with a
place to truly vent out and be themselves.
- Experiences
Travelling allows students to witness real
instances around the world, something they might not be familiar with inside a
classroom. New experience automatically translates to an improvement
development in the child. Things like food, culture, history, languages, etc
are important to mould their open minds.
- Curiosity
Curiosity is one of those factors that push
learning to a different level. Travelling just boosts this and it will surely
skill the cat.
- Socializing
When on an excursion, interaction
opportunities between others in more, leading to stronger friendships and
improved empathy.
Conclusion
As you can see it is not bookish and classroom knowledge that pushes
forward a child’s growth, but every extracurricular activity, travel included.
All of these are life experiences for a student and just like anybody else, it
is from this that they attain the most development.
